Bobby Cage:

Ask singer/songwriter Bobby Cage what makes a song, and he's quick to tell you.............

"Life experience" and judging from his repertoire, he has had many.  With over forty song titles including Electrify Me, Honey, You Make It Happen, My Heart Belongs To You, Walk The Walk, Wrong Side Of Love, Something About A Loser, Coming Home To You, One Horse Town and So Lonely, just to name a few, this new aspiring artist is quickly gaining recognition.

Bobby was exposed to a very diverse musical background at an early age. "My stepfather loved Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Glen Miller and all the Broadway show tunes. My mother was a country girl who loved George Jones, Glen Campbell, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn and Ray Price and my friends and I listened to rock and roll".

Bobby was in the first grade when he got his first guitar and amp.  By the time he was sixteen, he was playing in a working band.  At 21, he began opening for national acts. "Most of the bands that I played in were cover bands that played copy material.  I had co-written several songs and performed them in several bands.  I wanted to go totally original but It just didn't happen until I started writing for myself.

Growing up in Missouri in the outskirts of St. Louis, Bobby spent the summers at his aunt & uncle's farm." At a very young age, I learned to love the country life, and although I never considered myself a country boy there was always a radio tuned to a local country station. I guess that planted the seeds for the music I have been writing lately."  At the end of each summer Bobby would nearly have to be dragged away back to the suburbs.

"After writing and playing in many bands it was clear that I had come full circle.  I had always heard be true to yourself musically and you will be successful.  Write about what you know, what you have experienced out of life and share it and people will relate."

All of Bobby's music is very family oriented and he would not have it any other way.  "Country music to me is about being able to tell someone your feelings be it sadness or joy.   Telling  someone you care about them or just to get up there and tell everybody how  blessed you have been.  Being able to just  make a fool of yourself and have a good time".

" Its from the heart".

That's what Bobby's debut project titled Coming Home To You! is about, feelings of the heart.  Take a listen and we think you will agree that this is someone that you can very much relate to and enjoy over and over again.
